Welcome to the Pastors corner!! I'm Larry Jennings and I would like share with you some of my thoughts.
Summer is quickly approaching and is my favorite time of year. To me summer gives me a chance to spend more time outdoors and reflect on what is important in my life. I love sitting in my back yard or on a beach and allowing my thoughts to drift to some familiar friends the elementals. The elementals are constantly with us but when is the last time you reflected on their presence. Try sitting outside and focus on a nearby tree let your body become still and listen to your breathing slow down.
Acknowledge the spirit that resides within the tree. Thank it for the shade it provides and for releasing oxygen into the air. Compliment the tree's beauty and its grace, bless this beautiful being for becoming a part of your life. Then sit back and watch. I often see movement within the branches and its leaves as I watch this living spirit come to life. The tree spirits become playful and joyfully acknowledging your presence.
Maybe you prefer the ocean and love to listen to the sounds surrounding this special place. Hear the waves as they come to shore, the sounds of birds and feel the gentle breeze as it cools your body. In this moment thank Mother Earth for bringing you this special moment in time. Again, open your senses and watch the top of the waves. Pay close attention as Mother Earth sends you a special message in the form of one her beautiful gifts.
Most importantly listen to that voice inside of you; that voice of the Mother Father God. Listen to the message she sends; telling that you are part of this world that surrounds you. You are not separate but one with everything around you. The voice you hear will guide you to a loving and joyful place as you experience the splendor of the coming summer.
