Pastor's Corner
Where Dreams Come True I have just returned from a wonderful vacation in Disney World with my wife, daughter, and four-year-old granddaughter Angelique. This is a place that is truly magical, and the theme for visitors is "Where Dreams Come True." After watching my granddaughter transformed into Princess Jasmine in the Bibbidy-Bobbidy-Boo Boutique in Cinderella's Castle, I can truly tell you that this is a place where a little girl's dreams can come true. It also reminds me that each of us can reach out and grasp our dreams and turn them into reality. This trip was a wonderful time for me to reflect on so much happening in not only my life but in the life of our church. I am constantly reminded by all the signposts along the way that change is abound, and that changes are necessary for each of us to further the advancement of our souls. That is our purpose: to advance our soul and learn by experiencing. We chose to come into this wonderful earth plane, this time period, our parents, and the circumstances that our lives are surrounded by. We choose the things happening in our lives to allow our soul to grow and mature, bringing us to a closer relationship to our true self, our God Self. As each of us walks our own pathway, we are constantly crossing the pathways of many people. Each of these people is equally important to us. How we act, respect, and love each other will have a great impact on each of us and everyone around us. Remember, we create everything that happens to us whether we are conscious of this happening or not. As we witness and experience change within ourselves, our church, or the world we live in, we must reflect on these changes and find the opportunities for growth. I always remind myself that in the most difficult periods in my life are the greatest opportunities for my soul's advancement toward its ultimate goal of becoming one with the creator. Neale Donald Walsch has always stated it best to me when he said in his dialog with God, "When faced with any situation ask yourself, 'What Would Love Do Now?'" Five simple words with the power to create yourself anew. I truly hope that each of you has a wonderful summer, and the opportunity to see this world through the eyes of an innocent child as I have. And remember, we each live in a world where "Dreams Come True." Love and Light. Pastor Larry Jennings Previous Months in the Pastor's Corner...
